About Me

Father Joseph Camilleri, a 91-year-old Gozitan missionary, has dedicated over three decades to serving vulnerable communities in Guatemala. Appointed parish priest of Jalpatagua in 1995 at the age of 61, he recognized the critical need for healthcare and spearheaded the creation of the San Juan Bautista Hospital, a 100-bed facility that transformed access to medical care in the region. Beyond healthcare, Father Camilleri has been instrumental in addressing housing shortages, successfully constructing 76 homes for those in need, with three more currently underway.

His unwavering commitment to compassion and faith continues to inspire efforts to uplift lives through housing, education, and humanitarian aid.
